Hi there,
So i go into Syntheyes, export my fully tracked MAX SCRIPT, With the animated camera ect ect..
I open the camera Viewport which the tracking data is linked to.
I assign My background Material for THAT camera Viewport as a Targa sequence, which is around 430 frames in length.
However, in the material editor, when i have my 3D Mesh in the scene, i want to apply a Matte/shadow/reflection material to the plane which my mesh sits on so it gives a sense of realism, you know the deal.
i click the MENTAL RAY version of this, and click the background M and choose the Material - camera background switcher.
Now here comes to my main problem.
This option to use the camera background switcher with the same background as the map will not let me imput the material as a TARGA SEQUENCE, only a individual bitmap file... Meaning by frame 2 the plane has already began to mess up and only show bitmap for frame one.
on the default scanline render setting, you can simply add a matt shadow rmatieral here but i need to be using mental ray.
Is there any advice anybody can give me for rendering camera tracking footage in 3ds max or link me any good tutorials?
Thanks in advance and i hope i made enough sense.
hope to hear from you soon.
regards
