This article explains what you can expect to get from a learning path by explaining what a learning path is, as well as what a learning path is not. If you have any questions that are not covered in this article, please let us know by submitting a ticket here.

What a learning path is

Learning paths are the direct result of requests by users who want to increase their skills in a particular area or a particular piece of software and aren't sure how to begin the learning process. With that in mind, a learning path is a guide to learning a specific area that has been created by the instructors and staff at Digital-Tutors. For example, if you are completely new to Maya and you aren't sure where to start in order to learn the fundamental basics of working within Maya, the Maya: How to Get Started learning path is a guide through the Maya tutorials available here at Digital-Tutors to get you familiar with the fundamentals of Maya. Likewise, if you're familiar with the basics of working in Maya but want to strengthen your modeling skills, the Maya: Learn Modeling learning path is focused on increasing your modeling skills within Maya.

Learning paths are comprised of levels and individual courses. We recommend watching the first level's courses from start to finish (top to bottom). Once you have completed a level, it is recommended that you continue to the next level until you complete the entire learning path. Learning paths are independent of each other, so if you complete one learning path you are free to start any other learning path that is of interest to you.

We are constantly working to add new learning paths. Unfortunately we cannot give estimates as to when a learning path will be available. However, if there is a specific learning path you would like to see, please submit a request here!

What a learning path is not

A single learning path is not intended to be an all-inclusive path for completely learning the given software. Instead, learning paths are broken up into different areas of software. For example, there are separate learning paths for Maya animation and Maya rendering.
