Add Forum Thread on The Video Series Page Itself.

I would like DT to make forum thread on the very page of the video itself.

2 Examples:

Example 1: In the series "Introduction to Character Rigging in Maya" with Delano, I wish there was a forum thread right there on that very page where I was watching the video where people could post questions and get answers directly related to the video.

Example 2:  In the same series,  "Introduction to Character Rigging in Maya", video "28 Correcting the deformations of the left leg with the Paint Weights Tool", Delano uses a short-cut key, "Shift W".  I intuitively wanted to ask, right the on the page, "what's Shift + W"?

In my case, the video was "#6, Mirroring the Arm and Leg Chains". I wanted to ask, "Why did Delano say he was going to orient the leg in the YZ axis? That makes no sense! He's mirroring in the negative -X direction. Why didn't he mirror in the XY direction? I wish he would have explained that more."

  • Having the thread right there on the page you're watching the video would be so convenient, so user-friendly.  Especially if you go with a smart device (Android). Instead of clicking over to the forum (a pain with a hand held phone), but being able to see the same questions you would have asked and answered right there below the video would be a huge time saver.  Super user-centered!

How it could look:

  • 2 Columns:  It could  have video links to the series on the left, and the  question forum thread on the right.  It could even be a Subscriber feature only, if you like. If a subscriber, show; if not do not show.
  • 2 Rows:
  1. Row 1: Video links directly below the video
  2. Row 2: Forum thread questions.
